MycoMeter-test™
The MycoMeter-test™ has been developed and patented by microbiologists at the Copenhagen University. The method is based on quantification of a mold enzyme activity by use of fluorescence (1,2).
Investigations have shown that the biomass of fungal colonies growing on surfaces correlate to an enzyme activity found in mold and that both hyphae and spores posses this activity (unpublished results). The method can be used to screen buildings for mold growth and as a tool for measuring remediation efficacy.
